Like so many other Aussie men I am infatuated with old Holdens, so I really enjoyed painting this fishing scene. The setting is somewhere on the Murray River in South Australia. I sell paintings like this for around $1,800.00. This particular painting has been sold to a private buyer, but I am happy to take commissions.

I put this painting on eBay several weeks ago, and several people emailed with their compliments on the painting. It seemed to strike a chord. Anyway, it sold for AUS$3,250.00, which is my highest price for a work of this size to date. Needless to say, I was very pleased with this result.

This painting was done as a comission. The car is a beautiful blue Camaro and is depicted coming round the bend from the start line. I used it in an ad, which I placed in Leaded magazine. Hopefully, I’ll receive some more commissions. The one I’m working on at the moment is a large painting of one of Jack Brabham’s cars – and its looking good. I will post it here when its finished – maybe in about a week.

This painting depicts two prospectors panning for gold on the Bendigo goldfields, Victoria, Australia. I completed it earlier this year and have sold it to an art dealer for resale.

Two stockmen take a break for a cup of billy tea and to give their horses and cattledog a well earned rest. The landscape is typical of cattle country in the Australian Outback. This image has been reproduced in the book “A World History of Tea”.

Its been some time since I posted anything. For several months I have been working on my property, The Castle on the Hill, finishing things off. Its good to be able to pick up paint brushes again.
